- 生物活性 Cycloartenol 是一种植物甾醇类化合物，是许多甾醇类化合物生物合成的关键前体物质之一。Cycloartenol 抑制胶质瘤细胞的迁移，抑制 p38 MAPK 的磷酸化。Cycloartenol 具有抗炎、抗肿瘤、抗氧化、抗菌、抗阿尔茨海默病等多种药理活性。Cycloartenol 在植物生长发育过程中也起着重要作用。

体外研究
Cycloartenol inhibits the proliferation and the colony formation potential of the glioma U87 cells in a concentration-dependent manner. The antiproliferative effects are found to be due to induction of Sub-G1 cell cycle arrest and triggering of apoptosis. Cycloartenol also causes significant alteration in the expression of Bax and Bcl-2.
