Its pharmacological action involves diffusing into target cells, binding to its receptor, forming a steroid-receptor complex. The activated steroid-receptor complex acts as a transcription factor, binding to specific sequences on DNA as a dimer, regulating gene transcription, increasing mRNA production, and synthesizing corresponding proteins based on this template.
