Reported present in Roman chamomile essential oil, papaya, quince, apple, honey, apricot, banana and cheeses.
Preparation
Prepared from the corresponding acid and n-butyl alcohol by esterification in the presence of concentrated H2SO4 with or
without solvent (boiling benzene).
