Calcium Chloride Solutions are moderate to extremely concentrated liquid solutions of Calcium Chloride. They are an excellent source of Calcium Chloride for applications requiring solubilized materials.

Calcium Chloride is a prescription medicine used to treat the symptoms of Hypocalcemia, Arrhythmias, Hypermagnesemia, Calcium Channel Blocker Overdose, and Beta-blocker Overdose. Calcium Chloride may be used alone or with other medications.

How do we make a calcium chloride solution?

Weigh 7.4 g ±0.05 of calcium chloride dihydrate (CaCl2·2H2O). Dissolve it in ~40 mL of milliQ water in a 100mL measuring cylinder. Add a pure stirring magnet, and leave it on a stirrer until all crystals are dissolved.

Is calcium chloride solution safe?

Calcium chloride poses some serious health and safety hazards. If ingested, calcium chloride can lead to burns in the mouth and throat, excess thirst, vomiting, stomach pain, low blood pressure, and other possible severe health effects. It can also irritate skin by causing excessive dryness or desiccating moist skin.

How long does liquid calcium chloride last?

When correctly stored to protect from moisture contact, the expected shelf life of all OxyChem calcium chloride packaged products is 36 (thirty-six) months.
